If youâve sailed Norwegian before, youâve probably spent a day at their private island in the BahamasâGreat Stirrup Cay. Weâve known for a while that a major refresh was in the works, and now Norwegian has shared fresh details about whatâs coming.
Late 2025 will bring:
- Easier arrivals: A new pier with space for two ships means no more tender boats.
- More room to relax: A huge heated pool complex with swim-up bars and rentable cabanas.
- Family fun: A splash zone for kids, Horizon Park with shaded lawns and games, plus a tram to easily explore the island.
- Adult escapes: Lounge beds and premium service at Vibe Beach Club, or hammocks tucked away in a quiet tiki-themed bay.
And thatâs not all. Summer 2026 introduces the Great Tides Waterparkâsix acres of water slides (19 in total!), an 800-foot river, cliff jumping spots, and even jet kart water tracks.
This is more than a faceliftâitâs doubling the islandâs capacity and stepping up NCLâs private island game in a big way. If youâve enjoyed Great Stirrup Cay before, youâll love whatâs coming next.
